John
has been modelling for more than 55 years and still
remembers the first kit he made - an Airfix Minstrel
rubber-powered kit, which didn't last long once he'd
overwound the band causing the fuselage to collapse.
Undeterred
by that mishap, John went on to build models across
a large range of subjects and techniques including plastic
kits, r/c boats, cars and planes, and more recently
plastic kits such as Triumph Tiger.
John's
current project is a scratch-built house based on a
real building in his village which he hopes will be
the first of many buildings in a layout including the
gardens are surrounding areas.
