The 2007 RHTS show was held at the Old Railway Station in Rushden. There was a mix of different marquees full of exhibitors and some more in the various carriages & vans the Society has on display. Attending were myself, Bob Humpage & Clive Peacock on our stand, with Mike Baish with his model railway in the mailvan there.

We arrived early to set up the stand and were greeted with a lovely piece of weekend weather. It stayed warm and sunny for both days. We were joined in our marquee by a gentleman with a collection of old & quite valuable tin trains & accessories. In a marquee next door was another selection of models including some wooden tall ships and a very impresive set of Lord of the Rings table-top game figures. This included some wonderful scenery made by the exhibitors.

Also on show was a large assortment of original style mini car collections. Along with Mike in the mail van were a few other working railway layouts. Beyond the signal box was another van with a collection of various die-cast trucks and more railway layouts. Anglia Marine were there with their boats as well, with their small pool for people to have a go on.

My son who came with me was allowed to help the driver of the small shunter giving rides in a break van up and down the few hundred yards of track at the station. Other exhibits included some classic vehicles including an old red london bus.

The old station was open for visitors to look around, with the bar open for a little light refreshment. I was surprised to see just how much they had managed to squeeze into the site, small as it is. There was a great deal of interest and there were lots of people attending on both days. All in all a great show which I will definately be attending again next year.
